Established in 1968, the Department of English at Dr. V.S. Krishna Government Degree & P.G. College stands as a testament to academic excellence and progress. For the academic year 2023-24, the department has an intake capacity of 40 students across both UG and PG programs.

Vijaya Babu, has been the backbone of the department and has been instrumental in its growth. Currently, under the leadership of Dr. Ravi Rani (Head of the Department), and supported by esteemed faculty members such as Dr. P. Padma Priya (PG Coordinator), Dr. S.V. Ramarao, Dr. C.V.S. Ravindranath, and Mr. T. Ramakrishna, the department ensures a high-quality education for all students.

These include an English Language Lab, the Encore English Club, comprehensive training programs in soft skills and employability skills, digital and virtual classrooms, and specialized coaching for UGC-NET and APPGCET.
