Red Ribbon Club
The Red Ribbon Club is a voluntary on-campus intervention program for students in educational institutions. The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) was started by Dr. V. S. Krishna Govt. Degree College in the year 2008. The RRC has been organizing awareness programmes on Voluntary Blood Donation, HIV & AIDS and imparting life skills since its inception. The red ribbon has become an internationally recognized symbol for AIDS awareness. 2. To induce among youth the spirit to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) there by reducing stigma and discrimination against PLHWAs.
3. To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation, and team building.
4. To promote voluntary non-remunerated blood donation among youth.
